Fred Meyer

Do you use your Rewards Card every time you shop at FRED MEYER? Now using your Rewards card can mean a donation to our school! Fred Meyers is donating $2.5 million annually through their Community Rewards program.

Sign up for the Community Rewards program by linking your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to Cascadia at www.fredmeyer.com/communityrewards. You can search for us by name (Cascadia PTA) or by our non-profit number 90554.

Then, every time you shop and use your Rewards Card, you will help us earn donations. This does not change the Reward Points, Fuel Points and Rebates you earn now on your card. If you don’t have a card and want to get one, they are available at the Customer Service desk at Fred Meyers or online.

Tetracycling

Families can help by saving the following items at home and bringing them to school. Stay tuned for more information about the location of our tetracycling station.

Ink cartridges
Toothpaste tubes and caps
Toothbrushes
Floss containers
Soap packaging
Deodorant containers and caps
Mouthwash bottles and caps
Plastic tape dispensers
Plastic tape cores
Pens and pen caps
Mechanical pencils
Markers and marker caps
Permanent markets and permanent marker caps
Foil-lined energy bar wrappers
Foil-lined granola bar wrappers
Foil-lined meal replacement bar wrappers
Foil-lined protein bar wrappers
Foil-lined diet bar wrappers
We also collect foil-line juice pouches in the lunchroom. We cannot collect these in the hallway because they attract fruit flies. However, families could save these at home, bag them in a ziplock baggie (so they don’t leak) and send them with their child to the lunchroom. [As side note – please don’t start buying juice pouches just because we collect them ? Juice boxes are widely recyclable and are the “preferred” item to buy from a waste perspective. Even better is a reusable bottle].

Box Tops for Education

Do you already clip Box Tops and Labels for Education?

Many of our students and families have a tradition of clipping, and the tradition lives on at Cascadia. Please look for Collection Boxes in two locations: the Office and near the Lost and Found (purple!) area. Bring your Box Tops and Label for Education to school anytime !

Keep clipping, we will be counting and submitting to earn FREE money for Cascadia. If you have any questions, please contact  Tyra Sorensen. Thank you!
